I don’t know anyone who’s shot the Ruger LC Carbine and didn’t like it. The original version was compact, light-recoiling, and easy to shoot fast. The only problem? You could only get it in the diminutive 5.7x28.

The Ruger LC Carbine has gotten an upgrade...

A .45 ACP version was a welcome addition, but now we have what might be the most compelling version yet: the Ruger LC Carbine in 10mm.

The hard-hitting (and hard-recoiling) 10mm is enjoying a bit of a resurgence. It’s powerful enough to neutralize brown bears but small enough for you to stuff a bunch of rounds into a semi-automatic pistol magazine.

Unlike a pistol, though, the LC Carbine should be able to tame that rowdy recoil impulse very nicely. If you need a truck gun that can handle large predators and penetrate barriers, this is just about perfect.

We raved about this platform in our Ruger LC Carbine review, and it’s only gotten better with more cartridge offerings.

A folding collapsible stock cuts the length down enough to store this PCC behind your seat or in a bag while you’re on the go.

By feeding from 30-round Glock-pattern magazines in the grip, the LC Carbine stays streamlined with minimal protrusions to get snagged on car seats or pack straps.

Mount an optic of your choice on the full-length Picatinny rail, add accessories on the M-LOK handguard, and use a sling with QD points. Cut down your sound signature with a suppressor on the threaded barrel.

If you want to keep things simple, the factory flip-up irons are adjustable for windage and elevation.

Ruger lists an MSRP of $1,049 for the 10mm LC Carbine.
