Let’s start with the locking mechanism, working from fastest to slowest access methods.

The FastBox 47D features a biometric scanner for one-touch access. There’s also an illuminated four-digit keypad so anyone with the passcode can open the safe without storing their fingerprint.

Finally, the safe comes with two physical keys in case you get locked out.

SecureIt builds the FastBox 47D with 16-gauge steel and a three-point locking mechanism. The safe weighs 67 pounds and comes pre-drilled with holes so you can hard-mount it to the floor.

Yeah, the Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol fits, too.

At only 6.5 inches tall, it slides under a bedframe and works in many vehicles. Internal drawer dimensions of 4 inches high, 44.5 inches long, and 10 inches deep accommodate common long guns like an AR-15 with several magazines, or tactical shotgun

The FastBox 47D comes with a foam insert, two mobile straps, and USB-C power port. You’ll have to provide the power source and cord.

SecureIt lists an MSRP of $529 for the 47D, but right now they’re offering introductory pricing of $449.

Looking for something smaller? Check out the FastBox 36D. Prefer vertical storage? SecureIt offers the FastBox 20, 20 Pro, 40, and 47.

As always, training is key. Don’t forget to get reps with your gun safe once you stage your guns for home defense.
