Want to shoot after dark? You need a night vision or thermal optic. Want to feel like a superhero? Get both.
The real trick (aside from being able to afford the astronomical cost of these advanced optics) is figuring out how to mount them to a helmet effectively. Arkayne solved that problem with what they say is the most adaptable bridge on the market: the Symbiote.

What’s the problem? Our faces are all different, and so is our vision. There are differences among optics, too. Marrying two different monocular devices with everyone’s unique face is a big challenge.
The Symbiote achieves simplicity for the user through exhaustive research and development by the manufacturer.
It comes with all the arms, adapters, hardware, sliders, spacers, and tools you’ll need to mount any monocular device on Arkayne’s website (and plenty of others) on your helmet.
When it’s all assembled, you’ll be able to move each optic on any axis to line it up with your eye and get both devices working in harmony. This isn’t a matter of convenience; it’s the only way to make this stuff work.
That’s true whether you’re mounting optics you already own or picking up a complete, pre-assembled kit from Arkayne.
Symbiote components are 3D-printed from PA-12CF, a carbon fiber-reinforced nylon that’s impervious to heat, cold, and moisture. It’s incredibly wear-resistant, too. The hardware is all stainless steel.
If you do manage to break something (which is unlikely), Arkayne backs the Symbiote with a limited lifetime replacement guarantee.
Arkayne lists an MSRP of $449 for the Symbiote.
