The old 5.11 Tactical AMP backpacks were a popular item back in the day. Many of you were none too pleased when they vanished from 5.11’s lineup.
Now, the AMP12 and AMP24 are back. This is your chance to grab a rock-solid everyday carry bag built for travel, survival, and – of course – concealed carry.
But there are only 511 of each up for grabs, so get them while they’re hot!
As the name suggests, 5.11 product designers created the All Missions series to offer one backpack that can handle whatever life throws at you – on duty or off.
The heart of the system is the 9-inch-by-9-inch loop panel that lets you switch attachments based on what your day requires. Run it slick for minimal weight, add an admin pouch for extra storage, or slap on 5.11’s Hexgrid panel for MOLLE mag pouches, first aid gear, or whatever else you need. You can even run multiple layers at the same time.
Inside the main compartment, there are zippered organization pouches and a full loop panel for stick-on pouches and accessories. Quad zippers let you open and close the main compartment from either side.
5.11 Tactical lists an MSRP of $170 for the AMP12.
Need more room? The AMP24 boosts volume to 32 liters and adds a dedicated rear compartment for your laptop (up to 15 inches) or a hydration bladder.
Everything else remains largely the same as the updated AMP12: dual-material construction, thermoformed back panel, and three color options.
5.11 Tactical lists an MSRP of $190 for the AMP 24.
We got a sneak peek at the revived AMP series back in January at SHOT Show 2026. They look just like the trusty AMP12 that’s been storing roadside emergency gear in my back seat for years.
Who knows; if demand is strong enough, maybe we can convince 5.11 to keep these backpacks around permanently.
