Have you ever carried concealed while going for a run? It’s no easy task. Lightweight clothing and prolonged jostling make it just about impossible for most of us.

But a new pair of shorts might change your mind.

I’ve worn Arrowhead Tactical’s Carrier Shorts extensively, and they work great for weightlifting, hiking, and just dressing casually around town.

Compared to those shorts, the new Carrier Running Shorts use a lighter, more breathable four-way-stretch material. The waistband is now slimmer, providing a lower profile and less bulk on your waist. New mesh panels should work wonders to keep temperatures down.

There are two open pockets in the usual position, plus a small, zippered pocket on the right hip for the bare essentials while you’re running – think keys, a credit card, or gel pouch.

But don’t forget that the whole point is to carry concealed.

Arrowhead Tactical made these shorts compatible with the existing OmniCarry belt. In my testing, I found this system very supportive and easy to use. It’s also washable, so all you have to do is remove the buckle before tossing the shorts and belt into the laundry.
