The Cutting Edge Gun Store
How We Chose the Best Online Gun Stores
The Pew Pew Tactical team has amassed a small arsenal of firearms and most of them are bought online.
We buy from all over the place but these are the ones that have been time-tested and team approved.
Each online vendor has been chosen based on our experience and the following criteria:
- At least two+ writers or editors have purchased a total of 10+ times from each vendor
- We have had a 10/10 buying experience
- Any problems that occurred were addressed and fixed
- Generally positive online sentiment from social media and forums
Best Online Gun Stores
1. GrabAGun
-
25% off all OAKLEY products - OAKLEY25
Copied! Visit Merchant
We became enamored with GrabAGun a little bit more recently since they always seemed to have the guns we wanted in-stock when other guys didn’t.
Now they are our go-to for purchasing guns for having some of the best pricing, FFL database, and shipping speed…in addition to having guns in-stock.
They tend to keep very popular guns in stock too like your Sig Sauers and your Glocks.
But we’re also loving that they have a good selection of AK-47s. It’s where I got my Zastava and Arsenal AKs.
2. Palmetto State Armory

PSA has never failed us.
Yes, we love PSA’s AR-15s…as well as their other guns. Link to our PSA Review Section.
But did you know Palmetto State Armory now carries tons of popular handguns and rifles too?
It looks like they get all the new guns right on time.
And sometimes there’s really really good deals on older (but still great) stuff. My guess is they buy a whole bunch of one thing at a time and pass on the savings.
Otherwise, I always check out their Gun Deals page to see of any bargains…especially when they have coupon codes for specific guns to bypass pesky manufacture pricing.
PSA is likely the place where the Pew Pew Tactical has ordered the most number of firearms.
3. Kentucky Gun Company
-
25% off all OAKLEY products - OAKLEY25
Copied! Visit Merchant
Known more as “Kygunco” since that’s their website.
Tons of gun selection with things that are actually in stock. Plus decent shipping times with all our orders.
Oh and one of the most important things…they are super competitive in their pricing. Especially when you can save 3% by using their “text a check” method of payment compared to a credit card.
Chances are someone already bought from them before and had the gun shipped to your receiving FFL…so it’s already in their system.
4. Brownells

Brownells is my go-to for firearm accessories and specific tools. But it’s also one of my favorites for actual firearms. They have almost all of the popular handguns and rifles in stock and ready to go.
Prices are near MSRP but non-gouged but you can still score a great bargain if you keep an eye out for deals.
And they’ve brought back monthly coupons based on order amounts.
I also get most of my upgrade parts from them too.
Since they are such a big store, you get the peace of mind that you won’t get ripped off and that if there’s anything wrong they’ll take care of it.
Plus if you’re part of their EDGE program you get free 2-Day shipping on everything.
5. Gunbroker

If you’re looking for a screaming deal or something rarer…you’ll have to go the auction route. And Gunbroker is the biggest one out there.
Since it’s an auction you’ll be dealing with individual sellers. I would recommend going with a well-rated one since they’ve gotten it all figured out.
You’ll likely have to pay for shipping and also some sellers won’t accept credit cards (or will charge 3%). Plus you’ll probably have to send in your FFL information since the chances are slim that the specific seller has sent a gun to your specific FFL.
6. Armslist
-
25% off all OAKLEY products - OAKLEY25
Copied! Visit Merchant
Ah…the world of private firearms transfers.
Armslist is where people post of their wares and you message to meet them up and complete the transaction.
It’s worth noting that Armslist charges a $6.99 membership fee to join which allows you to message sellers and post your own guns for sale.
Check out our guide to staying safe and getting a good deal if you’re unfamiliar.
7. Rainier Arms

Want the highest-end tricked-out pistol, rifle, or shotgun?
Or how about some NFA items like silencers and SBRs (short-barreled rifles)?
Check out Rainier Arms.
They’ve got a stellar reputation in the business and I’ve personally visited their shop and warehouse. They’ve got their system down and will take care of you.
8. Euro Optic

Prices accurate at time of writing
-
25% off all OAKLEY products - OAKLEY25
Copied! Visit Merchant
I’ve already written about Euro Optic as the best place to get high-end scopes.
But their selection of rarer guns, especially in the precision rifle department, is also impressive. If Desert Tech and Accuracy International are in your sights…go with Euro Optic.
I especially like that you can call in and ask questions and someone knowledgeable will answer. This is an outfit run by people who love what they sell.
9. Guns.com: Trusted Used Guns
-
25% off all OAKLEY products - OAKLEY25
Copied! Visit Merchant
One of the best places for news and reviews…Guns.com recently stepped into the world of used gun sales a few years ago.
Prices for used and new guns are a little all over the place. That means sometimes you’ll find a great deal…but sometimes you might find a sought after gun for way over MSRP.
However, you’ve got the peace of mind with a large company that has its own appraisal and inspection team.
We put in an order ourselves and documented the whole process in our review here.
Conclusion
If your local gun store isn’t up to the task or you want to try and save some dough…buying a gun online is the way to go.

Beware of gun broker, I had an issue with them a year or so ago, with a high rated seller and it was a scam. Gunbroker
customer support is trash they will not return messages or communicate with you or try to get the problem corrected. I am still wanting to get my situation corrected but it's not looking good. There is a ton of complaints like mine I found at the bbb after the fact
I've had good luck with Tombstone Tactical out of AZ.
How about the shops that accept Bitcoin/crypto? Now that would be helpful.
I have done a lot of business with Bud's Gun Shop online store. Apparently you haven't.
I wouldn't consider Guns.Com very trustworthy or honest. I recently ordered a Sig P226 Legion SAO model and paid over a grand for it. They shipped my local FLL shop a cobbled together mess from several different Sig P226 models. The pistol did not have the chevron markings, the gray ceracote finish or the pictured and standard grips with the Legion medallion logo. The received pistol was plain and pure dull black. When I and the gun-store folks talked with them and confirmed this was not a Legion model they dug in their heels and insisted it was. They would not refund and take the pistol back without a 15% restocking fee plus a $40.00 return shipping fee. They are not reliable and worthy of trust. This was the treatment that I received after over a dozen purchases from them in the past. Don't roll the dice with Guns.Com.
Only if it’s on the Commifornia approved list.
Haha!, I guess you’re the middleman who lives in a mud hunt somewhere?
Yes, they are.
Gun broker?, Definitely not!, Price gouging, their 1% bullshit compliance fee?, tax, I could go on and on here, GunBroker is the last place I would ever buy a new firearm, I might buy a used one there if I get a really good deal, but usually you don’t because the tax and shipping fees, compliance fee usually negate any good deals you get.
What about RK guns ?? have gotten a few deals there .
I check prices and have found that BUDS guns usually has the best prices, free shipping and very fast service,
i agree, have purchased 2 from them
Hi , what about Bear Creek Arsenal ?
Guns dot com is a rip off coming and going .
I usually try to buy locally because I never wanted to wait for shipping for online orders but I have ordered a couple times online - twice from guns dot com one time was awesome and the other time not so much. They shipped out my first order within 1-2 days but the second order it took over a week and I had to call several times to see what was up, never got a straight answer. I do have a gun on layaway from Buds that I will pay off this week so we will see how that goes - I'm optimistic based on their reputation with other reviews they seem to be pretty awesome.
Excellent list of establishments of where to purchase arms. In my particular case, I was (and did, via this great website) going to purchase a Seecamp pistol. Last week, I contacted Seecamp's four listed distributors to inform them that I am going to purchase a Seecamp 32 ACP - and none responded. Today, I googled "online gun brokers", saw Pew Pew, went thru the list and purchased a Seecamp 32 ACP from GrabAGun using this website's link. Gun Broker also had Seecamps while at least five of the others did not.
Over the past year I purchased two used handguns from Guns . Com and both times was very happy with my purchase and how things were handled. Both guns were at great prices and arrived at my FFF within a few days after I placed my order. Both were what the website calls “Certified Used Guns” which means I could have returned them with no questions asked. But that has never occurred to me because both guns were precisely what was advertised: quality handguns in excellent condition. Used Guns are also shipped free. The other websites are probably excellent but I will probably buy from Guns . Com again.
How long did it take for your gun to come in ?
The last time I placed my order at about 6pm on a Sunday. Picked it up at my FFL ab about 3:30 pm the following Tuesday.
You forgot to include Vance Outdoors. Competitive pricing and in stock guns.
Bud's and Davidson's Gallery of Guns? Been pleased with both!
Guns dot com is AWFUL
Customer service was terrible, sold me a broken scope, just terrible
Very surprised you left out budsgunshop dot com and primaryarms dot com. Many online do not ship to where I am (Hawaii) but both these do. But the best part is they both have good to very good prices and Buds ships free much of the time, PA charges a small fee. Buds has a HUGE selection and PA has a 12% off everything deal occasionally and that includes guns, which is rare among other online stores. Great experiences with both of these. I would like to support our local stores but they have a small selection and many guns they can not get.
Agree about Bud's. They never seem to get a mention on here.
FAMILY firearms sells guns out of state with no sales tax. That could mean a huge savings on 1000 plus guns.
Hey Guys, a lot of the links you've provided to these sources are broken.
Let me check on those!
They work as of December 20, 2023, and I purchased a very difficult to find firearm via one of your links.
Check out Armslist dot com
I like all of your selections except guns dot com website. My experience with them was horrible. I felt like they tried to deceive me with a used gun and then they would not own up to what they had done. I had to get my credit card company involved to resolve the issue. Never again would I buy from these people.
I've purchased at Cheaper than Dirt, KY Gun CO, Brownells, Buds Gun Shop. The one I have started using that gives me a warm fuzzy is Bass Pro Shops. They have slightly higher prices, but they also have their own FFL's and stores for pick up as well as a real good selection, including in the retail store. I think I'll be sticking with Bass Pro Shops from now on. In any case, I recommend using only big name dealers. These small guys are too likely to be a scam.
Just chatted with a guy on Twitter (first red flag) claiming to sell guns at a place called "Official Tactical Store". He claimed to have a firearm I've been looking for a long time with no success. Sounds too good to be true. (second red flag). Went to the website and got an error message saying sorry, we're working on a problem, check back later. (third red flag). He says he'll sell me the gun through Twitter, he'd walk me through the process. I'm done, I'm not going to give my cc number to some twit on Twitter. I told him get his website up and I'd consider it.
ethicsrefinance @ gmail . com got me $15,000 through paypal........
even when my life was going astray , i almost commit suicide , because i had nobody to help me. then i came in contact with this guys called ethicsrefinance who got me $15,000 through their PayPal hack transfer . i will be forever grateful to them, they are indeed GODSENT TO MANKIND
How can I learn more? I could definitely benefit from something as shady as this sounds. i just know it.
Just wondering why Buds gun shop didn’t make the list?
swatmann Mann - telegram
Yo I’m gay
Guns dot com is horrific at price gouging. Sometimes asking two to three times the MSRP.
If you use one of the ffls listed on GunBroker there isn't a problem because the already have the info handy. The one time someone requested my ffls info they wouldn't give it to me anyway. But there's thousands listed and even in the podunk I live in there's 6 or8 within 30 minutes.
Interesting that Bud's Gun Shop was not on the list. I've ordered from them many times and never had a problem. I would consider them in the top five and not above Brownells. I find Brownells to be higher on their prices than others. PSA is good but they never seem to have the stuff in stock when I am looking for what I want. I have ordered from them and no problem there either except once when some ammo wasn't packaged very well. Looked like it was just thrown in a box with a piece of brown paper that did nothing for protection. Someone that obviously was in too much of a hurry to get a shipment out. Never ordered anything from the others. I have been to a Sportsman's Warehouse and their prices were higher than other gun stores in my area, and not much of a selection. A gun I did want was not in stock, only the display model. The guns behind the counter were helpful but, like I said, their prices were higher. Anyway, give Bud's Gun Shop a try. I don't work for them just mentioning it here if anyone interested.
Also no mention of CDNN , cheaper than dirt or Trop guns, Trop has used guns for excellent prices I picked up a FN FNS C for 299 Barely Used with a case and two magazines and a Kimber classic for 399 also Barely Used , look like a demo model . cheaper Than Dirt has financing cdnn does not will ship to your FFL if you're looking for deals on trop get on their email list and they'll send you a email when they have new stuff in you have to jump on it quick to get the prices I got but they are there good luck
Any opinion about Gallery of Guns? You can check and compare fees and pricing between local FFLs and still get backed by the Davidson’s warranty, which I’ve been told by a local FFL is much simpler than working directly with the manufacturer.
I live in California. Not sure anything is mail order here...
All the guns can be sent to you - via a FFL. I purchased one today, 12.20.23 that will be sent to my FFL in Lake Forest, CA. I am out of town until 12.27.23. On 12.28.23, I will sign the CalUnicornia paperwork and receive the gun 10 days later in January 2024.
I have used PSA and Grab a Gun in the last few months and they have been excellent.
No problems with either one and their prices have been the best for me. I always have a lot of questions and they’ve had the correct answers as well.
Battlehawkarmory gets a lot of bad reviews, but I’ve now bought from them three times without a hitch. Got fantastic prices and just a bit slow shipping. Patience pays.

Great selection, guys! However, it seems as if you're not truly familiar with GunBroker! ('Scuse me if someone already mentioned this.) *grins*
Sort By "Price: Low to High" in the top right dropdown, then scroll down on the left and click the "Buy Now" button. NOW you'll see the items (most of 'em) at their no BS-ing around price.
After looking at the best-priced, blue-starred, "top-listed" stuff, be SURE to go down past them and consider the lowest-priced ones without the blue star. The prices start low again!
I didn't figure this out at first and missed guns/stuff further down the pages that were sometimes cheaper than the featured ones!
Ex: Basic 10/22, p. 1, - $249
Same weapon, p. 3 - $239
Hope that helps out. *smiles*
As a ( once ) long time user of 'Gunbroker' I discovered that recently when I went to use the web-site that I had to 'requalify' to 'reactivate' by sending them ALL and EVERYTHING requested ( including a picture of me 'holding my own license' ) which is ridiculous because even a passport sized photo does NOT show the license as legible ) and they never responded after a week when I inquired. Then? I looked them up and discovered they have had their ISSUES recently and whoever runs it now??? Are amateurs-period! I left them a LONG and negative review and do not recommend them to ANYONE.. YOU, must work for them or something..ehhh??
Hi there. First, I do NOT work for GB, why would you say that? I've simply used them as one of many sites to buy weapons and related stuff. I was just pointing out that GB isn't purely an auction site. I always search under the "Buy Now" option.
I'm not sure why GB or a particular seller wanted all of that info from you. I've never gone through that and wouldn't if they asked for it. If you don't like them, don't use them for anything more than comparing prices and sizing up the market. Lately I've added GunsInternational to my list of sites. Try them as well.
I've used PSA for many orders in spite of reading so bad reviews. Never had any issue......until now. I ordered 2 items. The dark earth dust cover came but the foregrip was a no show. I always heard they had poor customer service. So far that's proving to be true. I contacted them twice and all I've gotten is "crickets".
The tavor ts12 is a left handed, semi-automatic handgun that is perfect for sporting or home defense shotgun. It is a 12gauge, compact, and lightweight shotgun that is easy to maneuver and handle. With its semi-automatic action, it is fast and efficient in terms of fire power. Go there and order your guns and bulk ammunition from Masterpiecefirearm retail store
I'm replying to.my own post here. I gave PSA what I feel is an unfair or rather incorrect review. I didn't give them a fair amount of time to respond to my problem with my order being short. They've not only contacted me but have made every effort to make this right. PSA has a long history of doing the right thing and I ask their forgiveness for my foolishly hasty remarks and recommend them with 5 stars.
BUY HANDGUNS ONLINE
99 Guns Armoury Inc has made the purchase and legal ownership of guns a less mundane task by offering the best selection of Handguns for sale, automatic rifle guns, Pistols. While just suitable for new guns, buying an automatic gun online at 99 Guns Armoury is effortless. Choose the firearm you need and 99 Guns Armoury will deliver it to you through your nearest FFL
99 Guns Armoury does not only offer a smooth delivery to your door via courier but utilizing Licensed dealers, we also provide the opportunity to find a Licensed and reputable dealer where your gun can be shipped to. We will confirm the date and exact time for you to fetch your firearm which will best suit your needs.
If you are fortunate enough to have a Rural King nearby then check out RK Guns. They have good prices and take care of the FFL transfer in store. You just have to be willing to order your gun and wait a few days for it to get to the store. I have purchased many through RK and have always been satisfied with the cost and process.
Rural King (Rkguns) used to be a decent place to buy online, but thier shipping times have stretched into two weeks or more and they have recently increased their prices. Also they like to oversell inventory and then cancel your order.

Scam
Quite odd that the first place listed is awfully expensive compared to many other places I’ve visited. Also seems odd that galleryofguns is not listed; yet they seem to have some of the best prices I’ve ever found.
US citizens - you are lucky that you are in US (it is first of course :-) ) and secound, that you have these posibilities to buy for example PSA AR15 (Easter Deals now) for $499,99. For part of Ukraine (where we have active battles with russia) AR15 rifles prices increasing (multiply by 2-4-6 for civilians). And also if you are left handed (like me) that's a real problem to buy AR15 for regular price in Ukraine. I asked few FFL dealers from US to open local sales points in western Ukraine - it is good business posibilities for weapons companies to sell weapons in War zone country. Welcome to Ukraine!
Just bought my SAR9X online at Dahlonega Armory. Best prices I found next to Shooting Surplus. Dahlonega stock status appears timely and accurate. They shipped it FedEx overnight. Extremely satisfied and highly recommend.
I just dodged the SCAM bullet thanks to an alert pair of folks at Olde English Outfitters, Tipp City, OH, and Texas Gun Shop, Corpus C, TX, respectively. The scammers are Firearms Texas. The people at TGS report that the TX attorney general is moving to find and stop the scammers. I got lucky, PayPal stopped the payment and I'm gonna go put some holes in cardboard. Now, if I can just find a Taurus Tracker 22....
Good information.
What? No Buds gun shop or Omaha outdoors?
Exactly what I was thinking. I've bought a few from KYGunCo, but Bud's is a close second.
If you guys live in St. Louis, MO, the best store that I have come across is Saint Louis Tactical. My uncle recently purchased one and was satisfied with the entire process. They have such a huge variety of guns, shotguns rifles etc you guys can check them out on their website by the same name.
Hi, is there any way you can help put an end to the online CZ Gun Store site. It is a scam and unfortunately I found out the hard way! After I placed my order, being new to online gun buying I sent my money vía Zelle, I’m a dummy, and never heard from them again.
Does anyone know if "BUYTOPGUNS" is a scam?
They are very unresponsive.
Did you ever get a response from buytopguns?

Does anyone have any experience with Tactical Guns Store?
Thanks!
Gunsdotcom prices on used Charter Arms revolvers are higher than new. GONG!
Author forgot to mention that Armslist has a monthly membership fee of a minimum $6.99. Eric, you should do more in-depth research before you make a recommendation in your articles. IHO, incomplete, and/or simplistic information is the worst thing you can do to build a reputation of honesty and knowledge. Also if you are receiving any type of compensation from a recommended site, you should disclose that fact.
Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate you pointing out that Armslist has a membership fee and we will update the article to reflect that. We are humans though and sometimes we forget to add things into articles. We hope you don't hold it against us that we sometimes aren't perfect. Also, we were not paid to put anyone on this list. This is based on our experiences buying guns online. Again, thanks for the feedback.
As of now Armslist makes you buy a one month membership to even look at the price and the description. They have the Price and the description blurred out, so you have get the membership. Also if you have a ad up or you send a email to the person selling or trading, It doesn't go to their email it goes to the account messages NOT to your personal email. You have to stay logged in or check it more often then your email. pain in the butt now to put a item on there.
derp
Cabelas is another site where they'll list lots of items in stock... until you actually click on the item. I emailed them about it and they said their inventory doesn't always sync up with their site. When I asked how often it does sync, they said they didn't know.
I've purchased from Cabelas and found that you need to make sure it is your location. I have then gotten a better reflection of what is in stock.
WORST online retailer is JoeBobOutfitters in Kansas. Check out their Yelp reviews before wasting your time.
I have always had good luck with Joe Bob Outfitters. I can’t believe that gunbroker is one of the picks on this site.
Grabagun, Buds, and Classic Firearms.
I agree and these three should have been at the top along with Aim Surplus and SOG or Southern Ohio Gun. The author says he got into guns starting with YouTube videos. That means about 2008 at the very earliest. I got into guns in 1982 and started at the gun and knife shows. Also am a master reloader and bullet caster with over 30 years experience. I am also a armorer on many makes and models and a amateur gunsmith. I'm thinking people who write these reviews need a slice of humble pie. Just a suggestion and maybe some help........
Thanks for the feedback, John. Unfortunately, we only have a limited amount of space so we can't list every online gun retailer. But we appreciate your suggestions.
Buds and Classic are the two I felt should have been on the list.
Wasn’t going to reply here until you listed 3 places I’ve bought guns online!
Grab-A-Gun has GREAT prices and inventory. I’ve bought a few guns from them and it’s always been great.
Classic Firearms has good inventory and decent prices plus shipping is good.
And Bud’s is almost local, so I shop there just because. Plus Hickok45 would recommend Bud’s.
GunBroker is ok, and GunsDotCom seems to be pricing used guns for almost MSRP.
Thanks for writing this list tho! And thanks to those replying giving me other places to shop.
Optics Planet has guns now also, I haven't used them myself. The best one I have used is Grab-a-gun, they are fast, big list of FFL's in your area, wide selection except for the current gun grab their inventory can run low or out.
PSA!
They are even better in their stores!
Stay away from BattleHawkArmory.com
They like to show "in stock" on things they don't actually have in stock. Then YOU have to follow up with them, to find out why your order hasn't arrived after 3 weeks. Only to be told "sorry it's out of stock".
These are the nicest stores without any stock.
Why is there no glocks in stock anywhere?
There is at engage armament in rockville md
I have one for sell but it’s used .... cheatwoodmark@gmail.com

I have had really good experience with Grabagun.com Not the cheapest, but excellent customer service and my recent purchases were shipped within days (I am sure some are drop shipped. Also they have flat rate shipping on all ammo, so you can go major bulk and only pay about $13 for the whole thing, that is of course if they have what you need, but they are pretty good with that too.
Only place I buy guns. Unfortunately like most they don't ship AMMO to Cook County Illinois.
Primary ARMS is definitely one of my go-to first options.
Rather poor experiences with Kentucky Gun Co. Have tried to purchase several different items, and every time either their website has been unresponsive, prices change while checking out, or inventory status changes multiple times per day. Unreliable enough not to frequent anymore.
Discreet guns shop is a big scam- they take your money-no credit card- and when they receive it, they will not answer any messages or phone calls. They make you use Zelle transfer which almost guarantees no refund.
I'm currently finding this out. I bought three guns and some receivers from them.
Agreed Discreet Guns is a scam. People are preying on the lack of inventory and the risks people are starting to take to buy things. Casey Firearms out of California is the same scam. They even followed up with a text asking for payment after I entered my information and found out they only offered Bitcoin and Zelle.
gunsonlinesales.com is a complete scam. A lesson I sadly brought, Zelle, Bitcoin, cashapp were the only way to purchase.
I have had good experience with KYGUNCO although a little slow with shipping. But, I think GrabaGun is excellent.
I was looking online for an AR style semiauto 12 gauge. Atlantic Firearms had a lot of selection but little in stock, I eventually found what I wanted at Grabagun, shipping was super quick.
I ran into this scam website called Glockstore.org. Very similar logo to Lenny's glockstore it with the .org instead of the .com. Everything was in stock and a lot less expensive than everywhere I'd looked. The payment options were sketchy, no credit cards just PayPal and Western Union. And shipping to an FFL was optional. I imagine they are preying on new gun buyers. Stay far away!
Avoid Cheaper Than Dirt, they are gouging again for ammo. They have a history and should be ashamed.
No BudsGunShop or ClassicFirearms?
Buds Gunshop is definitely legit. I've personally purchased 4 rifles, 1 shotgun, and a 9mm Pistol from them. And each transaction was smooth and fast shipping to my FFL
I am a Team Buds member. One on line purchase in the bag. Great experience
I have purchased over a dozen guns from buds maybe more, rifles and handguns I've been completely satisfied and happy with every step of the process.
KyGunCo has terrible service. They put the wrong FFL address on the rifle and had to have it sent back. It has been almost three weeks since the original shipment and they haven’t even reprocessed it to send it again. They don’t answer emails and their in person customer service reps just say it will get shipped again. This is the among worst online gun purchasing experiences I have had.
why can't I buy a red rider bb gun,we live in the country and were tired of watching t v.
this shortage of ammo is BS,they didn't run out of ammo in WW2
Hate websites that are not updated, go in looking for something and everything is out of stock. The list of sites I will not buy from is getting longer.
To be fair, everyone is out of stock of... everything. A lot of panic buying going on right now.
Grabagun.com has the best prices 99% of the time
Who has a Sig Sauer P365 w manual safety tacpac available? Everywhere I'm checking shows Out Of Stock.
Do any of these stores ship to Brazil?
no but i got one who ships to brazil
cabelas.com
Mas cobram 45% de taxa. E ainda tem a taxa de 60% para a receita federal.
I’d throw sportsmansguide.com in for sure. The annual membership went from $39 to $49 but they added free shipping that more than makes up for it. Any purchase over $150 can also be paid over 4 months w/ no interest. It takes the sting out of dropping cash all at once. I’d suggest them for guns and ammo as the pricing looks great but their accessories seem a bit behind. Ex: my CZ P10c was well below normal prices but my Rise 535 AR trigger a bit higher than most sites. Kinda hit or miss but the firearm prices look good
Has anyone used Big Daddy Unlimited? Is it worth the membership?
Well the verdict is still out on that one as they are currently going through some re-warehousing thing and the $5800 dollar Nemo Arms rifle I ordered has been in "Order Received" status for 6 damn weeks. I've called several times and only receive apologies. Is it worth it at the moment, no. Will it be after they get their warehouse thing straightened out, don't know but I'm leaning heavily on the "Delete Account" option followed by a refund. Yes the rifle was a good deal, but that doesn't do me much good sitting in there warehouse and not my safe.
I'm a member and thought about cancelling until I received an email saying I now have other benefits with my membership. I'm not yet sure about the 2a benefits but the vault is pretty cool. I don't buy often but with the low prices and these benefits, I think it's worth it now.
Articles like this are why our gun culture and heritage are under attack. How do we expect to retain our right to bear arms when we advocate undercutting the local community gun stores. Of course if you are trying to find a odd part, particular firearm then on line can be the only choice. However, have we not learned from the recent pandemic limiting our access and shipping as well as the rioting that a local community needs to be supported. And how do we expect the local store to have the selection and pricing if we are always simply shopping for the best price (generally not much better if you figure in shipping and transfer fees) rather than being a customer and cultivating a local relationship.
Was looking for a 556 bullpup, nothing to expensive. Need for close quarter when home. Don't seem to be able to find anyone to talk to me about this type of rifle.
Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore has been great to me over 3-4 firearm purchases (free shipping) and 6-8 ammo purchases. Very attentive customer support and shipping department.
AR15performance.com gets an honorable mention as a niche maker of excellent 6.8SPC and 5.56 barrels and bolts. Great for hunting builds, and guaranteed MoA with a lapped receiver and good ammo.
I totally agree. I have bought at least four guns from them at best prices I found on line. Shipped fast. Always my first place to look
Buds and Classic Firearms. Great customer service and when we aren't in a panic buying pandemic scenario they have pretty good inventory.
found Bud's to be slow ship, and didn't like to be bothered with inquiries. Once was enough.
Davidson's Gallery of Guns and CDNN: I have bought handguns, rifles, and shotguns from both and their prices and service was outstanding. Davidson's has a life time warrantee (keep your receipt...although you didn't used to have too), which I used one time for a rifle that had a bad chamber. Not a problem. CDNN has great buys but you have to be quick to get the best ones. Ask for Steve. He has always been really helpful and treated me like a friend even though we have only met over the telephone. Concur on Sportsman's being the worst. Their only service is out of Utah so they probably get really busy and short of temper.
Recently I ordered from PSA and SW on the same day. Both dealing with heavy orders and shipping delays due to the pandemic. PSA performed exceptionally well. All three items (including one FFL transfer) they beat their shipping estimates. Customer service was responsive and informative. My experience with Sportsmans Warehouse was the exact opposite.
You guys are nuts recommending Sportsmans Warehouse. Worst customer service ever. And you be lucky if your order only takes 2 weeks to arrive, guns and gear.
I like that guns.com is featuring firearms from small mom-and-pop gun shops from across the country on their site! Great way to buy online and STILL support the local gun stores that deserve our business.
I was done dirty by Vizards Guns and Ammo and would like people to know they have terrible Customer Service and refuse to correct their errors, even a $12.12 error on a $611.49 order where they shorted me 2 boxes of cheap Tula .308 and refused to give me credit towards my next order. This was my 4th order with them, and I had purchased well over $1000 in ammo from them.
They refused to have a manager call me, they alienated me and lost what was previously a good customer and a frequent shooter, who buys lots of ammo. (In 10 Calibers)
#VizardsGunsAndAmmoSucks
Customer service at my local Sportsman's Warehouse stinks. It took me 3 hours to pick up my prepaid online order!!!!! My background check only took 15 minutes.
what do u guys think about CheaperThanDirt, they really have good prices there
cheaper than dirt has always done me a good job had no problems at all with them
Who had use the cyeleeholster? they give me a code. But i don't know the quality.
Can I put a Different frame on a barrel like a Glock 19 9mm frame to ah hipoint c9 9mmbarrel?
Generally, no. There are some limited exceptions like converting some 40S&W Glocks to 9mm, but that situation is rare and I've never heard of one being able to do so cross-brand
For antique and collector firearms Rock Island Auction Company.
Gunbroker is a scam. No customer support. You can email them which they will ignore. Transactions are not backed at all! A simple search, and read of their reviews will show you. The BBB gives them a very poor rating. Total scam....you've been warned....lol
Sportsmans Guide is always one of if not the cheapest, especially if you are a club member - the customer service complaint is anecdotal.
classicfirearms.com is my favorite!
My FFL charges $25.00 any more is robbery. FFLs are trying to stop people from buying online because of the loss of business. I say get with the paln or shutdown. 100 $25 transfers is still $2500 and it's all profit in many states.
You should just get your own FFL then you don't have to pay any transfer fees! It's easy and hardly cost anything!
Your Funny
Like Mike said, you could always get your own FFL. Sell a couple Glocks to people you know, and it pays for itself. Also, I've found that many shops are willing to work with you on the price - the last two guns I've bought, I brought an ad from the cheapest website I could find, talked to my gun guy behind the counter, and he matched online price plus FFL fee, so I spent what I would have spent, AND got to walk out with my hardware the same day.
The shop's cost is probably higher than the website's cost, so they might not be able to beat the amazing deals, but there's no need to pay sticker most of the time.
Am looking for a new FFL guy he was 25 now 35 which is BS.
I'm new to guns and made my first online purchase(Palmetto State PSAK 47) a couple of weeks ago. Everything went smooth until I picked it up and discovered the $50.00 fee my FFL charged. Needless to say, I will be looking for a new FFL when I can't support my local gun shop.
Try buyyourgunsonline.com. Friendly service and fast delivery. Some of their prices are better than the big online gun shops. Also have instant discounts once your order is put in your cart. Well over 50,000 items to choose from. Was pleasantly suprised
Try gun.deals
Compare every ones prices and shipping charges
(gun.deals was formerly slick guns)
Gunbuyer.com
Primary Arms. Best kept secret on line
Their 1-6 ACSS Scope is a fantastic buy for the money
I’m looking for a Glock 20 fde do anybody know where I can order one from I been lookin for 5 weeks now
Ok, let's get this straight. make SURE you are aware that FFL fees can range from $50.00 to $INSANE. Even if you save some serious dough on a gun, the FFL fees plus the DROS can wipe that savings right off your face. ALWAYS do a spreadsheet for real time comparisons and you may be surprised that even a higher price at your LGS can be LESS than bringing in a gun from out of state, etc. Just Saying...
My FFL has charged $15. for years, and has no plans on raising that. Do your research..
FFL fees are regional and vary widely. Near me, the cheapest option is $45 with the average being $60 and the high end at $100.
James mentioned a DROS also, DROS is a California only document so I assume they are in California - like I am, so his statement is likely completely correct for his region. In the Northern part of the state, it isn't uncommon to see FFLs charge $120-150 for a transfer.
Then shame on them for doing that that is complete BS. My FFL charges $20 that is insane to do that to customers
It's $50 and up everywhere I've ever lived.
Most of the time that's incorrect. Online 90% of the time has the better deal just have to look around
I have been trying to buy a Smith & Wesson model 10 from Robertson's Trading Post but the guy I ve been dealing with online is no very courteous. What every happened to treating your customers like you appreciate their businesses?
Something to note about buds. You mentioned likely insane volume, Buds does not touch the vast majority of guns, they sell and ship directly from distribution. Which is why they can charge literally $10 over cost compared to what a regular local gun store can buy them for. Which is also why local gun stores generally charge more for transfers from Buds.
Buds is helping put the little guy out of business
Thanks for that input!
Buds is one of the most expensive online gun shops
If you check often, Bud's usually has very good prices on most guns.
Just remember, for new guns, if you are in California, a lot of the gun shops that you WILL have to have the gun shipped to will charge you over $100 interstate transfer fee as well as CA State tax in addition to the DROS. Some stores do not do this if you buy the gun through Gallery of Guns. Some stores are nice and charge less for this action. Be sure to shop around. Regardless, the transfer fee can really cut into savings of out-of-state purchases. Also remember that in California, if the handgun is new, it must be on the CA DOJ Roster. That means no brand new Glock Gen 4 or 5, for example, unless you are an LEO. If you are an LEO or If you don't live in California, don't worry about this and consider yourself lucky.
Thanks for the CA insight John!
I paid PSA $17.00 for shipping and a $25.00 FFL transfer fee, Gallery of Guns builds in $100.00 for the transferring FFL. It also helps to pay for their lifetime REPLACEMENT warranty.
I will never buy from PSA again. One month wait time for supposedly in stock. Not honest.
U 4got Grabagun.com . I've been doing business with them for a few years now with never an issue. Online, by phone,or in person the staff is always very friendly and helpful.
Thanks Grady! Another vote for Grabagun.
grabagun has great prices, but if you live in Texas, you will also have to pay tax.
I think RKGUNS is definitely worth a look. They aren't so big that they'll have everything but they offer some really good prices on firearms, IMHO.
Yes I agree. No FFL transfer fee if a firearm is shipped to a RK store, and $13 flat rate shipping. The only negative is that the selection is not the greatest and a lot of the guns come up as Out of Stock .
I agree with the commenter who mentioned PSA. I’ll add Prepper Gun Shop. They’re in one of the Dakotas. I’ve ordered firearms from them twice. Great prices, will allow you to make an offer & negotiate. I’ve also bought from Glockmeister, Joe Bob Outfitters, & AVGuns/Gunpoint out of FL. Never had a bad experience so I guess I’ve been lucky. But I try to deal with established companies & avoid the auction/classifieds type sites. Definitely recommend researching any seller prior to pulling the trigger.
Meant Brownells
Browned or Gunbroker would be the best choice in my opinion..Good article☺
Thanks Sean!
I bought a Glock 32 from Palmetto State Armory as it seemed to be the only store that had one in the USA. I assigned it to a local LGS who proceeded to tell me "we could have gotten it for you!" and I said "No you couldn't have and besides if I went that route, you'd have tried to sell me something I didn't want out of your stock which I can buy anywhere, That's why I chose this route.". Palmetto State Armory deserves mention and they have the 'build your own' AR biz down pat too!
Thanks!
Here are a few I have used that you missed.
cdnnsports.com
grabagun.com
classicfirearms.com
aimsurplus.com
jsesurplus.com
sgammo.com -- for ammo and mags
Thanks Robert!
Darn, I thought maybe you would include some of those places I hear about in the lib media ( mail order machine guns with no background checks...sarcasm button off).
Seriously tho, I’ve had good service from Sportsman’s Guide and Cheaper than Dirt.
Great article as usual.
Thanks Monte!
Sportsman's Guide, MidwayUSA, Grabagun hell there are a lot of places to buy guns that are reputable and trustworthy. I've never had a bad experience.
Thanks Louie! Looks like another vote for Grabagun.
Gunsbuyer.com is my to go online store, they are usually cheaper with free shipping.
Haven't heard of that one yet!
I like Midway, possibly more than Brownell's. They ship cheap and fast. Maybe they don't have the depth of available items that Brownell's has, but what they do have usually has good prices.
Thanks Dave! I haven't ordered a firearm from Midway before...but love how they carry some small stuff I can't find on Brownells.
Sportsman's Guide and Sportsman's Outdoor Super Store (Goggle 'em) both have excellent prices and the Guide has free shipping and a 4-pay plan if you are a member.
Yup, I've used SG but they collect CA tax on their end which messes up my FFL since the % they collect is different from my area. Trying to get help from the customer service has been not fun.
The best part of Sportsman's Guide for me is that I live 5 miles away from them and I can go to their store and order almost anything from the catalog and have it handed to me in a matter of minutes. I've been shopping there for 30 plus years.
Thoughts on GrabAGun.com? I've ordered from them successfully twice in five years, but have also read horror stories. Curious for anyone that has a higher volume of purchases from them than I do.
Hi Bryan, I haven't used them but have heard of good things. One thing they've got going is their layaway program.
Alternatives to Purchase Firearms and Ammunition Online
There are also many alternatives to purchase your firearms and ammunition online. You can shop around and compare different prices, as well as browse reviews from other customers. You can even read up on the brand’s history, such as its concept and principle, to ensure that you purchase the right one for you. Additionally, you can take advantage of discounts available online or choose to purchase used firearms and ammunition at much lower prices.
