Getting good at precision shooting takes practice, but that’s hard to do when all the gear you need is expensive!
The new Primary Arms SLx 4.5-27x56 rifle scope might make the barrier to entry a little easier to clear.

Numbers don’t tell the whole story but, in this case, they’re a promising start.
Many precision rifle scopes fall into the 5- to 25-power realm of magnification. This one adds some capability on each end, with 4.5- to 27-power magnification and a 56-millimeter objective lens.
Sorry, MOA shooters, this one’s only available in milliradian. You do get two first focal plane reticle options, though: ACSS Athena BPR in MRAD or ACSS DEKA G2 in MRAD.

A flexible turret system lets you install exposed, locking turrets or run capped turrets. From the factory, it looks like the elevation turret is exposed, and the windage turret is capped. That's a pretty common configuration on value-focused precision optics.
There are also turrets for parallax and illumination adjustment.
Once you zero the scope, the Easy Stop system lets you return to zero without worrying about going past it.

Whether you want to get into precision shooting on a budget or build a super-capable DMR-style setup, the SLx 4.5-27x56 promises a lot of value. For the money, it should be hard to beat.
The cash you save on your scope will come in handy when the time comes to buy a chronograph, wind meter, and match-grade ammo.

“The new SLx 4.5-27x56 is a great representation of what the SLx line has always stood for: quality, value, and consistency,” Stephen Morgan, director of product marketing at Primary Arms Optics, said in a company release.
“With upgraded glass, high-performance turrets, and some of our best precision reticles, this scope gives long-range enthusiasts the tools to tackle distant targets without breaking the bank.”
Primary Arms lists an MSRP of $629.99 for the SLx 4.5-27x56.
