The Ruger 10/22 is one of the most popular firearms in the U.S. because it’s affordable, fun, and easy to shoot. Thanks to robust aftermarket support, it’s easy to customize with upgrades like magazines, receivers, and triggers.
Aftermarket barrels and suppressors are nothing new, but Angstadt Arms is putting both together with the Vanquish 22.
The 18.5-inch stainless steel barrel has a match-grade Bentz chamber and is button-rifled with a 1:16 twist. The aluminum outer shroud and Cerakote finish result in a bull barrel profile. Altogether, the Vanquish 22 weighs 1.3 pounds.
A series of holes in the barrel allow sound and pressure to escape, but those effects are constrained by the outer shell to keep volume down.
This approach is more compact and easier to clean than a conventional suppressor, with no risk of baffle strikes.
According to Angstadt Arms, the Vanquish 22 makes supersonic .22 LR ammo sound like subsonic .22 LR ammo.
The Vanquish is compatible with any Ruger 10/22 that can accept a bull barrel (0.92-inch diameter or less). That means your factory stock is probably out of commission. Pick up something like the Magpul Hunter X-22 for an easy, drop-in installation with basic hand tools.
You can get the Vanquish 22 in black, silver, or flat dark earth.
The baffleless design is very innovative, but this isn’t the first time we’ve seen it in action. Angstadt Arms already sells the Vanquish 9, an integrally suppressed barrel for pistol-caliber carbines and short-barrelled rifles.
Angstadt Arms lists an MSRP of $599 for the Vanquish 22, but introductory pricing of $535 is currently available.
