Just like our eyes, night vision devices need a little help sometimes. The IRIS-3 helps optics see in the dark by shining infrared light that’s visible to the people using them but not to the naked eye.
It also has an infrared pointer. Zero the laser just like a red dot to get an accurate point of aim without looking through your sights in the dark.
There’s a visible laser as well, so you can use the IRIS-3 without going all-in on night vision goggles. If you want, you can use the visible laser for now and take advantage of the other modes when you save up for the rest of your kit.

The whole thing is 43% lighter and sits 20% lower on the rail of your carbine or pistol than the previous generation. The controls are also new, so they’re much easier to use by feel without having an infrared or visible light negligent discharge.
Holosun lists an MSRP of $1,059 for the IRIS-3 but we’ve seen street prices around $900.

Three more IRIS units are on the way (IRIS-1, IRIS-2, and IRIS-4, if you can imagine that), so Holosun should have options for just about any budget.
Looks like we’ll have to push back our bedtime.
