Olight is branching out from flashlights with a brand-spanking-new red dot.
The Olight Osight looks affordable and packed with enough features to make it competitive. And yes, it’s rechargeable.
The biggest news, aside from Olight getting into the optic game in the first place, is the Osight’s 170-mAh rechargeable battery. Osight says it should give you over 70,000 hours of use on the lowest brightness setting. The magnetic charging cover contains an additional 800-mAh battery to keep it topped off.

As long as everything works as intended, this could be a nice alternative to removing and re-zeroing your optic every time you swap an old battery for a fresh one. All you’ll have to do is plug in a USB-C cable and monitor the charge level indicator.

The Osight comes with a red or green 3-MOA reticle (you have to pay $30 extra for green). You can manually set the dot’s brightness or let it self-adjust to one of 10 daylight and two night-vision-compatible settings. A third mode locks out the buttons to prevent them from getting bumped.
You should get a nice, wide view through a window sized for full-size pistols. The aluminum housing keeps weight to just over an ounce. Osight lists a waterproof rating of IPX6.
Olight made a name for itself by selling EDC flashlights and weapon lights like the PL-Pro Valkyrie and PL-Mini Valkyrie 2 we reviewed. Then, the company surprised us with a few blades. Red dot optics are a natural addition, considering Olight already produces batteries, lasers, and lenses.
Olight lists an MSRP of $199 for the Osight or $229 with a green reticle.
