Palmetto State Armory sure knows how to generate buzz around new products. The secret? Just let the customers choose what goes into production!

It only makes sense. The annual PSA concept poll gives you a chance to make your voice heard. If enough people agree, your dream prototype just might make its way into your inbox later this year.

After more than 100,000 people voted, polling for 2025 is closed, and PSA has announced the winners. Here are five concept guns that made it to production.

Remember, the ranked order does not indicate when these guns will hit the shelves. PSA has not yet released details on pricing and release dates. Stay tuned for more updates, specs, sneak peeks, and hands-on reviews.

2025 Palmetto State Armory Concept Poll Winners

    1. PSA Sabre-11

I’m not surprised to see the PSA Sabre-11 land the top spot on PSA’s concept poll. This double-stack 1911 was constantly mobbed by a swarm of adoring fans at SHOT Show and it made quite the impression on the Pew Pew Tactical crew, too.

The Sabre-11 looks like a lot other 2011 and double-stack 1911 pistols already on the market. It has a shiny stainless steel bull barrel, an optic-cut slide, ambidextrous controls, and your choice of 17- or 20-round magazines.

And that enticing trigger. The trigger snobs among us were very impressed with the Sabre-11.

“The really important thing to note on this is it’s not gonna be the cheapest 2011 on the market,” Justin Beshears, a brand manager for PSA, told us at SHOT Show. “This is more up in the custom category and, for that category, it’s gonna be super aggressive. But it’s not gonna be the least expensive on the market.”

    2. PSA Sabre Lancet

PSA made a name for its in-house firearm production with budget-friendly AR-15s and Glock clones. Naturally, that means they’re going to build the PSA Sabre Lancet, which is a *checks notes* semi-automatic .50-cal?

You’re not hallucinating. Palmetto State Armory is announcing a .50 BMG rifle. The people’s heavy hitter, you might say.

So far, we know that it’s gas-operated and accepts Barrett M82 magazines. It has a 30-MOA Picatinny rail for extreme long-range shooting (the steeper the rail, the less your scope has to adjust for long shots), and a lower Picatinny rail for a bipod – which you’ll need. PSA has a goal of keeping this rifle under – wait for it – 32 pounds. All the readers with ultralight AR builds have now fainted.

The barrel is 28 inches and has threads for a brake or suppressor. Suppressors for .50 BMG are expensive, as are the optics this rifle deserves and the ammo you’ll need to feed it. But who knows, maybe PSA will price this low enough that we can budget for such things.

Again, no pricing is available, but PSA claims it will be the most affordable rifle in its class. That’s encouraging, but is that like saying it’s the most affordable private jet? We’ll see.

    3. PSA 570

Ok, we’re back to more sensible things. The PSA 570 semi-automatic shotgun should be much more attainable for those of us who get money from a paycheck rather than stock dividends.

It’s based on PSA’s existing pump-action 570. The two may cycle differently, but they share the same receiver.

Features include an optic-cut receiver, tang safety, and side-mounted slide release. The rear of the receiver is compatible with Remington 870 stocks.

The forend is an in-house design, though. The charging handle is positioned above the forend instead of on the bolt itself to maintain receiver compatibility with the pump-action version.

Do we need another 12-gauge shotgun on the market? Not really. Do we welcome one? You betcha.

    4. PSA X9

Want to get weird? So do we! The PSA X9 looks like it came straight out of an ’90s action movie and we are here for it.

The X9 is a delayed-blowback personal defense weapon (PDW) chambered for 9mm. The barrel? Seven inches and threaded. The charging handle? Ambidextrous. It takes 30-round B&T magazines and has a rear-mounted Picatinny rail so you can mount a brace of your choice.

Much like the far more expensive B&T TP9 it resembles, you’ll get a full-length Picatinny rail for optics and M-LOK slots for a light. Unlike the TP9, I don’t think X9 street prices are going to top $2,000.

    5. PSA JAKL-9

Last but not least, the JAKL family is expanding with the PSA JAKL-9. If you read our JAKL AR/AK pistol review, you basically know what to expect.

The 9mm JAKL-9 has a monolithic upper receiver mounted to an AR-V lower receiver, a 6.5-inch barrel, and a non-reciprocating charging handle that can be positioned on either side of the upper receiver. It uses CZ Scorpion magazines and offers last-round bolt-hold-open.

Don’t want to deal with an FFL or buy a whole new firearm? The JAKL-9 upper will work with any existing AR-V lower, so if you already have one, you’re in business.
