The Palmetto State Armory booth was buzzing at SHOT Show 2025, in no small part due to the brand’s new releases.
One that we’re particularly psyched out of our minds about was the Sabre-11. It’s a double-stack 1911 that we hope will make the bougie race-gun market a little more accessible.

Speaking of that trigger, it’s outstanding. We were all impressed with the short takeup, light pull, clean break, and firm reset.
The slide is cut for the RMR footprint, so you don’t have to mess with adapter plates – unless you want to. Adapter plates will be available for other optic footprints.
PSA custom-fits the Sabre-11, so it feels like a quality item in the hand. At the same time, the company has a track record of keeping prices within reason.
“The really important thing to note on this is it’s not gonna be the cheapest 2011 on the market,” Justin Beshears, a brand manager for PSA, said. “This is more up in the custom category and, for that category, it’s gonna be super aggressive. But it’s not gonna be the least expensive on the market.”
So do with that information what you will. It sounds like a solid value proposition.
We may not know what the Sabre-11 will cost or when it will become available, but we’re confident that it will make it to market, and we definitely want to get our hands on one for a review.
Do you have a guess for what the price will be? Which 2011-style pistol do you think will be its closest competitor? Let’s hear those predictions!
