In addition to a range of calibers, Ruger also offers several key upgrades to the Ruger Precision Rifle. These are designed to enhance both its functionality and aesthetics.
A standout feature is the adjustable buttstock, which offers user-friendly customization options for length-of-pull, cheek rest height and horizontal position, and buttpad height. Additional enhancements include a heavy contour, cold hammer-forged barrel that promises improved durability and accuracy, an upgraded muzzle brake for better control, and a Magpul MOE-K2 vertical pistol grip for enhanced handling.
The rifle also features a sleek black DLC-coated bolt, an aluminum handguard equipped with M-LOK slots, and an integrated ARCA rail for accessory compatibility.
For a little extra pizazz, the magazine well, handguard, and stock body are decorated with a Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish.
Competitive shooter and Team Ruger Captain Doug Koenig worked with Ruger engineers on the upgrades. Koenig said the rifle’s improved adjustability will appeal to competitive shooters.
“We focused on combining the RPR’s reliability and precision with more adjustability to fit every shooter,” Koenig said in a press release. “Knowing I can fine-tune my rifle to fit my exact needs means I head into every match with confidence. This rifle is designed to support competitive shooters at the highest level.”
Special editions of the Ruger Precision Rifle, available through the Ruger Custom Shop, come in 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, and 6mm GT.
These models feature an adjustable TriggerTech Two-Stage Trigger, a stainless steel, heavy contour barrel with a muzzle brake installed for recoil reduction, and a barricade stop on the magazine well to enhance stability when shooting.
Additionally, they are coated with a Gray Cerakote finish on select components for a distinguished look.
The new Ruger Precision Rifle aims to support competitive shooters at the highest level while maintaining the reliability and precision that has made it a favorite since its 2015 introduction. MSRP is $2,149.
