Savage Arms unveiled its KLYM series this week — a new line of centerfire big game rifles.
Aiming to improve the hunting experience, the KLYM series blends a lightweight design with high-performance features tailored to challenging hunting environments.
Built on the 110 and Impulse platforms, Savage partnered with PROOF Research and Fine Ballistic Tools (FBT) to bring elevated components to the series.
Each rifle ships with a unique carbon fiber wrapped, steel cut, and 5/8×24 threaded barrel from PROOF Research. Combined with the FBT custom carbon fiber stock, this significantly reduces the rifle’s weight. The stock also boasts a one-button adjustable comb height, two sling studs, and an installed Magnaswitch system, which enhances functionality and comfort.
The goal is to allow hunters to traverse challenging terrains more efficiently.
110 KLYM models have a user-adjustable 1.5lb to 4 lb. AccuTrigger, tang safety, blueprinted action, and a one-piece Picatinny scope rail. Caliber options cater to a wide array of hunting preferences and include 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win, 6.5 PRC, 7mm PRC, .300 Win Mag, and .300 WSM.
Savage’s Impulse platform expands with the addition of the KLYM model. This variant brings the Impulse’s straight-pull action but with a durable buttstock and forend. The Impulse KLYM models are available in the same caliber range as the 110 models.
“Hunters accustomed to long, demanding hunts will appreciate these lightweight rifles that don’t compromise on accuracy and reliability,” Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage, said in a statement.
“With PROOF and FBT’s contributions, we’ve elevated our rifles to new heights, ensuring they withstand the elements while integrating the latest technologies.”
Savage says hunters can expect pricing to start at $2,699 for the 110 KLYM models and $3,299 for the Impulse KLYM models.
