Serrations on the front, rear, and side make racking the slide, press-checking, and remediating malfunctions easy. There’s an accessory rail for owners who want to add a weapon light.
The lightning-fast P322-COMP comes from the factory with a barrel-mounted compensator, ROMEOZero Elite optic, extended magazine catch, adjustable trigger shoe, oversized racking T-handle, and what Sig Sauer calls a sport takedown lever (think gas pedal).
In addition to the 3-MOA red dot, the P322-COMP gets a fiber optic front sight and a basic iron rear sight. Sig Sauer ships the P322-COMP with one 20-round magazine and one 25-round magazine.
“When we brought the P322 to the market, it was hailed for its ingenuity, quality, and value,” said Tom Taylor, Sig Sauer’s chief marketing officer and executive vice president of commercial sales. “Now the P322-COMP raises the bar on the entire .22 plinking experience.”
The P322-COMP isn’t just a fun, flat-shooting pistol — it’s billed as an excellent training tool. The controls and physical size are very similar to Sig Sauer’s 9mm pistols, so you can build muscle memory through realistic training. The biggest differences are reduced recoil and ammo that’s much, much cheaper.
Unlike the existing P322 — which we found to be accurate, reliable, and almost recoil-free during our hands-on review — this up-spec version isn’t marketed to beginner shooters.
It’s a training tool or competition gun for people who are willing to pay for a plinking gun with a bunch of performance-enhancing goodies.
Pricing isn’t available for the P322-COMP yet, but it should cost considerably more than the P322 base model, which typically retails for around $400.

I have the standard version of the P322. All-around a great pistol. It helped my aunt get into pistol shooting at the young age of 78. The biggest issue is that you have to load the mags just so or you'll get failure to feed issues, failure to fire, and jams. There isn't much recoil, so I would say the compensator is more of extra than a necessity. The P322 has a threaded barrel and I'm looking forward to trying out my new suppressor when it arrives.
