Silencer Central just announced its smallest suppressor yet, the Banish Speed K.
The South Dakota-based suppressor company partnered with Federal Ammunition to produce a product that’s stronger, smaller, and less prone to blowback than other 5.56 suppressors on the market.
The Banish Speed K knocks sound levels down by 20.9 decibels while limiting the increase in blowback that comes with using a suppressor to less than 6%. It’s made from Inconel for maximum heat resistance and passed seven rounds of grueling SOCOM durability testing.
The Banish Speed K comes with an Industry Standard Hub Mount available in a range of commonly used thread pitches. You can attach the Banish Speed K, a QD mount, or a compatible muzzle brake from there.

At 4 inches long and 2 inches in diameter, this looks more like a flash suppressor than a true, baffled sound suppressor. The reduced size makes it ideal for law enforcement and anyone who might need to maneuver in confined spaces, i.e., those who use an AR for home defense.
“With the release of the Banish Speed K, we are excited to bring professional-grade suppressor technology to the civilian market,” Brandon Maddox, the CEO of Silencer Central, said.

“This collaboration with Federal Ammunition has allowed us to create a suppressor that exceeds expectations in terms of performance, durability, and ease of use.”
Think of the Banish Speed K as a miniature Banish 223. The older model is 3 inches longer, a few ounces lighter, and offers an extra 14 decibels of sound protection, so the deciding factor for consumers is maneuverability.
Having more mounting options is nice, too. Unfortunately, the Banish Speed K is not self-serviceable, and there’s no alternative for .300 BLK (but we can hope).
If you need a compact can, get excited about Banish Speed K. For a size comparison, imagine this thing next to the Banish 46.
Silencer Central lists an MSRP of $1,199 (plus the required $200 tax stamp) for the Banish Speed K.
