Are you proud of your one-second draw time?
That’s cute. Smith & Wesson pro shooter and living legend Jerry Miculek recently set a 9mm handgun world record when he drew from a holster and shot six steel plates from seven yards in 1.88 seconds.
With a revolver…
Now, Smith & Wesson is giving us slowpokes a chance to channel Miculek’s magic with a Performance Center Model 327 WR revolver of our own.

Scandium isn’t as strong as steel, but that’s fine because the revolver is chambered for 9mm rather than a more conventional wheel-gun cartridge, like .357 Mag or .44 Mag.
The cylinder holds eight rounds and comes with five moon clips and a moon clip speed loader and unloader.
This special-edition revolver even looks fast. It’s got weight-relieving holes and slots all over the place, a two-tone finish, limited-edition grips, and Miculek’s signature on the side of the frame.
Smith & Wesson tops this speed demon with a CORE optic plate mounting system, which lets you choose from a range of popular red dot footprints, but it ships with the same Vortex COMPDOT Miculek uses.
The 8-MOA dot is large and easy to acquire for maximum speed, and comes with auto-shutoff and shake-awake functions.
Smith & Wesson lists an MSRP of $3,499 for the Performance Center Model 327 WR.
Yeah, that’s a lot of money. It’s a thoroughbred race gun, though. And if shooting one gets you one step closer to a world record, who’s to judge?
