The U.S. Army has a new official accessory for the Next Generation Squad Weapon, and you can buy it for your personal AR or chassis gun right now for less than you spent on your last tank of gas.
The Strike Industries Cable Management System includes cable covers for Picatinny rails and M-LOK handguards that keep your electronics tidy and ergonomic with minimal snag hazards.
If you run any kind of light, laser, or rangefinder on a handguard, the CMS is a must-have accessory.

It wouldn’t make much sense to issue soldiers a brand-new weapon system, high-tech optic, and cutting-edge electronics only to secure the associated wires with tape and zip ties.
Instead, the Army will issue the Strike Industries CMS to keep the wires for all those lights, lasers, and batteries secure.
The CMS includes one Multidirectional Picatinny Rail Cover and two sizes of M-LOK Cable Management Covers.
The M-LOK covers are also available separately in black and FDE. The short covers (sold in packs of four) take up one M-LOK space, and the long covers (sold in pairs) use two. Its Multidirectional Picatinny Rail Cover only needs two slots on your Pic rail and comes in translucent gray. Channels on the underside of these accessories let you secure your cables in a straight line, 90-degree turn, or U-turn.
Weapon lights, lasers, switches, and pressure pads are increasingly popular. Shooters need a better way to manage the cables that connect them than DIY home remedies, and these cost-effective covers are a great solution, even if you aren’t fortunate enough to be wielding an NGSW.
It doesn’t make a lot of sense to spend hundreds of dollars on a weapon light and pressure pad only to improvise a way to tie the whole system together. For less than $50, you can keep your whole setup at the same standard as the Army.
