Editor’s Note: "The CZ Shadow 2 boasts legendary accuracy, reliability, and shootability. Its ergonomics, phenomenal trigger, and added weight help make this one of the flattest, easiest shooting pistols on the market. If you are looking for an off the shelf ready competition gun, home-defense gun, or a fun range toy, there are few guns that do it better than the Shadow 2." - Johnny B.

"With a strong competition lineage dating back to the original CZ-75, the CZ Shadow 2 is no stranger to high round counts, exceptional accuracy, reliability, great ergonomics, and bringing home the gold. Although the Shadow 2 is an extremely heavy gun, coming in at 46.5 ounces, this is part of what makes it such a pleasant shooting experience. The extreme weight of the gun, combined with its extended beavertail and undercut trigger guard, makes this gun a breeze to shoot and seemingly impossible to miss with. There is plenty of aftermarket to tune this gun to any shooter's preference. But for me, I found that a new set of palm swell grips was all I needed to feel completely dialed in. The only downside to this gun is the cost, but trust me, saving for this bad boy is well worth it." - Johnny B.

If you're looking for a competition handgun that is ready to dominate out of the box, the Shadow 2 is a solid choice. It is hefty, so bear in mind that the weight will be noticeable but helps reduce muzzle flip on the plus side.

This gun is very accurate but is also big and heavy. The trigger is great but this beast is designed for competition so keep that in mind.

The Shadow 2 is an awesome gun that is ready for competition right out of the box. There are only a few pistols out there that are as accurate and easy to shoot as this one.
While sitting down with a target at 50 yards, this gun was spot-on out of the case. Of course it feels premium- because it is. Heavy? Of course. I got mine on sale for $899 but I've seen it usually for $1000-$1200 at gun shows. If you are tempted by this, go ahead and get it! I was afraid I would be over-hyped about it but the shadow 2 does not disappoint.
Solid, precise, competition ready!
