Editor’s Note: The Beretta APX A1 was created by taking feedback from various professional and recreational shooters and applying it to their already successful APX platform. Improved ergonomics, aggressive slide serrations, and an upgraded trigger provide a better hand feel and shooting experience than its predecessor. The low bore axis helps reduce muzzle flip and recoil, improving accuracy. Additionally, it features a blacked-out rear sight and tritium front sight combo and is also optics-ready out of the box. Ambidextrous capable controls and interchangeable backstraps round out the feature set and ensure that the APX A1 is a fit for any hand.

"The APX A1 Full Size pistol has good ergonomics, slide serrations, grip texture, is optics ready, accurate, and reliable, with good capacity is noteworthy. Selling that handgun at a low price is downright tantalizing." - Sean Curtis
1000 rounds in not one issue. Not really a fan of the Burris fast fire 3 red dot tho
I bought the APX A1 Tactical. Great weapon at a great price ($499 with a $100 rebate). My only criticism is the recoil spring is a little tight, but manageable with my arthritic hands.
Just bought one, very impressed. Perfect trigger reset. Put a laser on the rail too. Came with two 15rd and a case with a loader also. Excellent value and accurate as hell!
Great pistol. Accuracy is great. Recoil is minimal. I’m using a fastfire 3. I have over a thousand rounds through the pistol with no issues with ftf or fte.
I purchased my APX A1 full size on locked & loaded with the optic already installed. Ok so for starters anyone out there looking for a new accurate reliable full size hand gun on a budget this is it. Straight out of the box no cleaning just a quick little wipe down and some oil I've put 300 rounds down range and she's still running. I've had the firearm for the last couple months n still haven't done a full clean just some oil and a wipe down. It shoots so smooth the ergonomics of the A1 is just phenomenal. Although she does phenomenal while using my support hand for me it's like driving a car my left hand fights my dominant one and believe it or not I can actually shoot the A1 better one handed. My only issue I had upon receiving my firearm was that I noticed that it did not ship with a cover plate u have to order that separate,I found out the hard way. The other issue I had was the optic itself would not stay zeroed so I made some calls. I got in touch with Beretta customer service who was awesome by the way the guy I spoke to told me I was not the only person to complain about the performance of the optic. And that I should call Burris as the product technically belongs to them. So I called Burris who pretty much has a no questions asked policy which let me tell ya they stand behind 1000 percent cause my optic got stuck on my gun and I had to drill out one of the screws because it was stripped damaged the optic just a bit and when I explained all this to the gentleman on the other end it was like no big deal things happen send it back and we'll send u a new one I sent it back got a brand new one. The lead time said 6 week they had it back in 2 very good customer service hats off to them on that. Overall though in my opinion I feel the Apx A1 is one of the best budget 9mm striker fired pistols on the market so if ur in the market check out your local ffl or even on line I think u might be surprised. Again hats off to both Beretta and Burris on two great products and amazing customer service.
