The SD9VE set out to bring an affordable, reliable, striker-fired gun to the market. It did that, but that was over 10 years ago. Reliable striker pistols have become commonplace in the last five years. With guns like the Beretta APX A1, CZ P-10C, and offerings from Canik hovering around the $300 mark, the time of the SD9VE is over. While it remains reliable, the trigger is absolutely abysmal, and the aftermarket is slim. If you have one, it will serve you well, but as of 2023, other guns will serve you better for the same or less money.
